Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare System continues to provide quality healthcare on the East and West side of El Paso, affording El Pasoans the convenience of staying on their side of town.

Del Sol Medical Center has been dedicated to the health of the East El Paso Community for more than 30 years, providing comprehensive services to include Cardiology, Bariatric Surgery, Diabetes Treatment, and Inpatient Rehabilitation. Del Sol is one of only ten hospitals in the nation to be a recipient of the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant “Expecting Success: Excellence in Cardiac Care.” Del Sol is the home of the region’s first Center of Excellence program in Diabetes Education. In the area of Cardiology, Del Sol has the area’s only Heart Failure Center and was the first hospital in the area to become an accredited Chest Pain Center.

In 2004, Las Palmas Medical Center entered in to an agreement with Anesthesiology Associated to become the exclusive anesthesia providers at Las Palmas Medical Center. Las Palmas Medical Center is the only hospital in the region that offers all physician anesthesia. Del Sol Medical Center is also well equipped to handle all types of surgeries. The two hospitals performed 18,000 surgical cases in 2006.

Las Palmas and Del Sol are a part of HCA, the largest hospital chain in the world. If the two El Paso hospitals do not provide the services that are needed, HCA has hospitals all over the country that are Centers of Excellence in fields to include Pediatrics, Cardiology, and Organ Transplant. Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center continue to work with the El Paso Community in the recruitment and retention of physicians to the area. Our recruitment efforts have benefited all El Pasoans in the areas of Medicine. Our efforts will continue to expand to meet the needs of our growing population.
